planet dance ^{— 2017}

A show about dance, meant to be danced and not analysed. Often, the public is presented contemporary dance performances in shows. Yet the uninformed public does not necessarily have enough cultural references or cannot freely interpret the show, therefore they do not return to another show.

The concept of this performance emerged from the search for answers to the question of contemporary dance today. We developed this concept not only by tracing its history, but also by questioning the role of the performer, from interpreter to creator. Besides the choreography, this show also develops a theoretical dimension, a guide for the uninitiated contemporary dance spectator, intending to allow the spectator a closer look into the inner space of the dancer. The show aims to curtail the informational and perceptual void between ballet and contemporary dance.
